Boksa Marine Design Welcomes 3 New Employees to its Tampa Office

In order to accommodate expanding customer requirements and maintain timely high quality results, we’re pleased to announce the addition of three new staff members to our team at Boksa Marine Design.

  • Forrest Hannahs
  • Bob Boksa

McNamara and Hannahs joined the firm as Jr. Naval Architects. Boksa was brought on to manage sales and marketing efforts.

McNamara joined the firm in January.

Previously, he held design engineering positions with both Sea Ray and Catalina Yachts where he was involved with design projects for larger yachts and sailboats for the consumer market.

McNamara is a United States Coast Guard licensed Captain (OUPV). This designation allows him to operate passenger carrying vessels up to 100 gross tons.

He is also a 2008 graduate of the Westlawn Institute of Marine Technology in Annapolis MD.

Forrest Hannahs, Jr. Naval Architect forrest hannahs joins boksa marine design as naval architect

Hannahs is a 2014 graduate of Florida Atlantic University (FAU) where he received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Ocean Engineering.

He is also a graduate of FAU Seatech, the Institute for Ocean and Systems Engineering.

Hannahs is currently working on the design and analysis of structures encompassing a wide range of marine applications including commercial barges, small personal watercraft and large custom yachts.

According to Hannahs, “I have a passion for solving tough problems and a naval architect, there is never a shortage of new and exciting problems that need solutions.”

Bob Boksa, Sales and Marketing bob boksa joins boksa marine design in sales and marketing capacity

From 1963 until his second retirement from the financial services industry in 2014 Bob maintained a lifelong active involvement in boating.

He volunteered for more than 20 years with the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary as a boating safety instructor and skippered patrols and SAR missions on the Great Lakes.

A USCG licensed operator, in 1996 Bob took a sabbatical from his banking career for several years to establish a new Yacht Brokerage serving Lake Michigan in conjunction with Northern Marine Services, Waukegan, IL. There Captain Bob provided brokerage, training and yacht delivery services.

Bob has joined Boksa Marine Design to assist in the dynamic and increasing growth of the company.
